Welcome to Liminel

Let's start with the name Liminel. The name is based on the correctly spelled word "Liminal" but we had to alter it a little to register internet domains etc. So what does liminal mean? The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines liminal as

"of, relating to, or being an intermediate state, phase, or condition"

There's also a Wikipedia entry on liminality which expands this idea further

"... liminality is the quality of ambiguity or disorientation that occurs in the middle stage of a rite of passage, when participants no longer hold their pre-ritual status but have not yet begun the transition to the status they will hold when the rite is complete."

At the time of writing this post, September 2020, we are still dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. Being in a state of liminality at this time means that that many governments and organisations can't wait to return to the way things were before the pandemic. Yet many are hopeful that the pandemic can serve as a catalyst for something new to emerge from this right of passage.

Our purpose is to help organisations, leaders and teams create sustainable continuous adaptation. Given the state of the world, your business will likely be transitioning through states of liminality on a regular basis as you seek to continuously adapt as needed. This requires an agile mindset from leadership, a resilient workforce and flexible business policies, processes and procedures.

Our Liminel Differential identifies the key principles that inform the way we collaborate with you to assist these changes. These principles are derived from the wealth of experience by our Leadership team working from the strategy level to the individual to help you respond and adapt to change. This experience includes:

  • Strategic ideation and implementation

  • Change management and organisational development

  • Agile ways of working

  • Well being and positive psychology

  • Executive coaching and peak performance teams

This blog will update, inform and ask questions related to all of the above. We hope you will tune in regularly to also share your wisdom and experience in the comments.

If you have an idea that you would like us to explore, please comment on this post or use the Get in Touch button above.
