Richard Parton


Richard Parton specialises in Business Agility and business transformation and is highly experienced at helping organisations develop their business agility strategy. He has nearly twenty years’ experience in creating high performing transformation programs.


Richard is a Lean Change evangelist, practitioner and trainer and uses techniques that leverage lean startup, agile and traditional change management to create sustainable change and business agility for clients. He is also a regular public speaker on new ways of working and the psychology of change management, resilience and thriving – including lecturing on the subject at the University of Melbourne and running several meetups on the topic.

At London Heathrow Airport Ltd his engagement programme helped create a world-leading robotised baggage logistics system. With Kent County Council he developed a pioneering integrated service experience, now rolled out to every major town and city in the region. And with his help Ambulance Victoria embarked on a broad-reaching change programme to fundamentally transform its operating model.

Richard is an active and recognised business agility thought leader. He helped to establish DXC.Technology’s business agility global offering, was a Programme Committee member for the inaugural Business Agility Australia conference, and is global Growth Mindset Chapter Lead for the Business Agility Institute.


Richard also founded of the popular Organisational Agility & Positive Psychology Meetup and is co-organiser of the Business Agility Melbourne meetup. He has expertise, and is a regular public speaker on, enabling individuals, teams and organisations to adapt, perform and thrive through agility – drawing particularly from research in the fields of psychology and organisational science. He lectures in the topic at the University of Melbourne and has spoken at a range of agile and other conferences – including as a headline speaker at 2018’s Spark The Change conference in Melbourne. He is one of the relatively few people globally to hold a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology.
